Astra looked into this and sought extensive counsel before agreeing to show the film at the IFC Center. The projectionists don’t want a union. There’s no picket line and no boycott. If there were, she’d never have violated them.

IFC location has had union projectionists since the building was built as another venue.
It got renovated and the new owners are anti union. Present projectionists do not want a union because they never belonged and are not any of the original people that operated that booth.
