Look people, Hersh’s article got through the New Yorker’s fact-checkers, editors, and lawyers. Why some blogger pulling on his pud has any credibility is beyond me.

    Hersh has been wrong plenty of times before and plenty of times while in the NYer. Here’s one example:

    As for the NYers vaunted fact-checking process–that’s easy: Look closely at Hersh’s piece and the facts might all be right–no doubt a “former Pentagon official” did assert the White House is considering using tactical nukes–it’s his larger assertions that are at issue. And about those, I don’t think he’s provably wrong. I don’t just think we know whether he’s right.
