I don’t recall seeing it there, but with few exceptions, they’ve
dismissed all challenges to the official line. Ron Baiman - whom I
know through URPE conferences - was on a panel at the AAPOR
conference in Montreal last month. (Guess Quebec is part of “America”
for the organization’s purposes.) Somehow it came up that Baiman
(who’s not on the list) was having trouble raising funds for the
trip. Mitofsky got snooty said something like, well, I guess if his
department isn’t paying then his motives may not be “academic.”
