Gallup, 1999 :

Would not vote for an atheist: 48%. …a homosexual: 37%. …a Mormon: 17%. …a woman: 7%. …a Jew: 6%. …a black, Baptist, or a Catholic: 4%.

These are all way down from higher numbers decades ago - the atheist
fig was over 70% in the late 1950s.
