Where’s that one come from? According to the BJS , in mid-2005, there were
1,438,701 inmates in federal and state prisons (excluding local
jails), and 91,176, or 6.3%, were noncitizens. And end-2004 , 19.2% of prison inmates were
Hispanic. You can’t even get to 29% by adding the numbers together,
which only a liar would do anyway.
