the new socialite

[so the New School is now full of socialites, like it used to be full
of socialists? - the pix are a delight]

Olivia Palermo is one of most fascinating young and up-and-coming NY
personalities. She grew up in New York, Greenwich, CT and Paris,
played on the girls’ national hockey team and just recently appeared
on the pages of Vogue. Still young, she is attending New School
University (which seems to be the designer and socialite central
lately) college student who hopes to take fashion and entertainment
industry by storm. We’ll be watching.

Birth place: NYC

Sign: Pisces

Favorite thing about living in New York: I love that there are
different sections of New York and that each is very different from
one another. You can go from uptown where its a little bit older and
more conservative, to somewhere such as Greenwich Village with a
sense of trendiness and youthfulness to it.

Favorite designers: Topshop, Marni, Earnest Sewn Jeans, (Vintage)
Givenchy, Pierre Cardin, and Christian Dior

Favorite travel locations: Gstaad, London,

Favorite films: Auntie Mame with Rosalind Russel, Billy Madison,
Wedding Crashers and Something’s Gotta Give.

Favorite things I simply love: Manicure and pedicures, vintage
clothing actions, and going to vintage stores in the most random
places, where people would never think to go with my aunt.

Favorite New York People: (Aunt) Linda Donahue, Peter Davis, my bf
Brad Leinhardt

Music that energies you: Stevie Wonder (For once in my life), cheesy
pop music :) and DJ AM spinning

Restaurants that I can’t get enough of: Le Miu, Le Billoquet, Zorba’s
pizza, and any Japanese restaurant that has good spicy tuna rolls :)

The most important moment in my life…. it is still yet to come

Something no one would guess about me: I’m the biggest jock. I play
tennis two times a week at the River Club, and my brother and I are
extreme skiers, I played on a girls national ice hockey team and an
all star lacrosse team.

If I could live in someone else’s biography it would be: Audrey Hepburn
