Virginia gossip
[a friend writes]
I thought you would be interested in some “inside” info about
Virginia. The value of this info will expire in a couple hours, but
it is exciting.
It was thought that there were 30,000 absentee ballots yet to be
counted based on the way it happened in 2004. And those absentee
votes would like be more Republican.
However, in calling 2/3 the counties, the AP is finding that there is
very little absentee vote left to be accounted.
So it is becomming increasingly certain that by end of the day Webb
will be ahead by 0.2% or 0.3%.
A lead of 0.5% is needed to avoid a recount.
