It is, though Vermont is a weird state. It’s almost Canadian.

Katha Pollitt’s ex, Paul “The Last Marxist” Mattick Jr, once
preposterously argued that Sanders couldn’t be a socialist because
Vermont had no proletariat, which he defined as old-line industrial.
