I’m looking forward to reading this paper, which has been on my to do
list for a long time, but the Forbes 400 isn’t what most people think
of as old money. It’s big money. Old money is smaller, the progeny of
what would have been the Forbes 400 eighty or a hundred years ago.
Their political vehicle was the old, pre-Reagan Republican party,
which was one of the things the New Right had in its gunsights.
