Armenians
Someone wrote this offlist in response to Yoshie’s comments about the
Armenian genocide: “To blame ’secular nationalism’ for the 1915
genocide is insane. It was WWI and the clash between Turkey and
Russia, two decaying empires, that caused the slaughter of the
Armenians. By analogy, the Hutus were Catholics. Would we blame
Catholicism for the genocide in Rwanda?”

Lets not make this a religious issue, it was a Genocide pure and simple and must be recognized by Western world so it would not happen again.
And lets’ not forget that it was Adolph Hitler in August 1939, in which he justified his plan to destroy Poland and create a new order by asking, “Who remembers now the destruction of the Armenians?”.
