No it wouldn’t but they’d be under constant threat of attack, and
maybe even under constant attack, so they would not be immune to the
pressure for withdrawal. More importantly, though, U.S. withdrawal
will be seen around the world as a major defeat, the biggest since
Vietnam and maybe bigger. And that would be kind of interesting,
don’t you think?
