Au contraire. The surest way to discourage something is to get the
schools pushing it.

In the early 20th century, our elite decided they could assimilate
all the troublesome offspring of the immigrants into the American way
through the schools. It worked pretty well. If people were as
rebellious as you seem to think, wouldn’t we have more iconoclasts
than we do?
