Items of note:

  • the gender gap was about 8 points (women for Dems, that is)

  • white men went 9 points for Reps; white women, 1 point for Reps

  • nonwhite men went 52 points for Dems; nonwhite women, 57 points

  • income is a good predictor of vote, in a near-perfect stairstep
    pattern

  • union households (23% of the total) went Dem by 30 points

  • white Protestants (44% of the electorate) went Rep by 24 points

  • white evangelical/born againers (24% of the total) went Rep by 42
    points

  • lesbigay (3%) went Dem by 51 points
